⚠️WARNING! Z-Axis

The 2.2KW spindle is a heavy piece of equipment that may cause the Z-axis to drop when the Z stepper motor is unpowered. Make sure to tighten your Z nut blocks pretty well, tighter than the X or Y blocks. We are monitoring beta builds extensively to decide if the final production version will revert to to a lower pitch lead screw, resulting in lower axis speeds, but mitigating against the heavy Z axis effects.

In the meantime, a simple illustration below shows how to tram the Rat Rig Mill, indicating which fasteners calibrate each axis of rotation. The two on top rotate the Z axis along the X and Y axis. The bottom one rotates the X axis along the Z axis.
